We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership team to lead delivery of the scheme's historic environment projects (covering maternity leave).
Upper Nidderdale is at the heart of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an upland landscape on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The AONB is the lead partner in the Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership, a 4 year, GBP 1.8 million scheme supported by Heritage Lottery Fund. Through a range of projects, the Partnership is conserving and increasing opportunities for people to enjoy the area's heritage landscape.
Working with the Landscape Partnership team and other partner organisations, this diverse role includes managing conservation works of historic environment structures, supporting volunteers in cultural heritage and archaeological research projects and implementing historic environment aspects of the scheme's education, access, outreach and training projects.
The post will be offered as a fixed term contract (maternity cover) for up to 12 months.
The successful candidate will be working with a team of environmental and heritage specialists based in Pateley Bridge, a small thriving town at the gateway to Upper Nidderdale.
